1960 Stepside Fuel tank Questions
I have a 60 GMC Short box Step side and I looking to relocate the fuel tank under the bed. I would like to know what you have used and see pictures of your builds.
Thanks. Eric |

Re: 1960 Stepside Fuel tank Questions
Look at Lakeroadsters build in the projects section, he used a tank for an early 50's Chevy passenger car, It worked really well.

Re: 1960 Stepside Fuel tank Questions
I have a 60 stepside and it has a x frame. I don't know how much different they are from later frames but flit may not be the same dimensions as these tanks being shown.

Re: 1960 Stepside Fuel tank Questions
I just got a price check at my local salvage yard for a s10 1988 gas tank. It's 13 gal. which is ok for me. I decided to use the side tank. Next week, I'll check the measurement and buy if it's smaller than 40 in. long and 12 in wide.

Check my build thread out. If you need more info just PM me. I have pictures as well. The Fuel Cell is a 20 gallon. The link is in my signature. Note: That my truck is not stock. There are a lot of modifications to the frame and drivetrain. Posted via Mobile Device
