What's this truck worth? 68 SWB stepper

I have located this truck fairly close to my area .. Just curious what you guys thought about it? I think I can get it for $1k bucks. ($1300 for sure)

If its a true muncie 4speed you can get $1,000 just for that..

but that looks like a 3speed floor shifter to me.

Just sent him an email. .. Going Sat to look at it and drive it. If it checks out ok I'll prob bring it home. I'd like to build a shop truck out of it. Steelies with white walls and dog dish hubcaps.. and just drive it.

Unless something falls through, I have decided to just go ahead and get it. Dad and I are going to finalize the deal on Sat morning. I know more history on the truck now and it sounds like a really good one, and has a lot of potential.

We went to see the truck yesterday and it was actually a little better than I expected. It had been sitting and not started for about two years. We put a jump box on it and it fired right up. The thing runs really, really good.

It is a Muncie 4 speed. Coil spring rear. The wood in the bed is still there but someone has put a .25 in plate steel in it (not sure if I'll take that out or what ..) It looks good underneath but I feel like it will need outer rockers and corners .. no big deal.

We're just going to put it together to be a good solid dependable driver. Right now, the brakes are completely down so I couldn't drive it.. but I went ahead and bought it. Even though I had to give $1300 for it, .. I think I'm ok. I will create another build thread on it. I am still going to work on my BB truck too .. this one is just a shop / swap meet ride. It has some really cool patina .. so I may even do a door logo of some kind. It will be a slick little truck. IT has the normal 43yr old rust in the rockers and RF fender areas but nothing at all out of the ordinary. Pretty cool old truck.

I'm going back to pick it up next Sat. I'll post more pictures once I get it home.
