Question how do i know if my truck has a suspension lift on it?

i have a 1989 z71, and im pretty sure it has a 3inch body on it, ands it has 33s on it. is there a chance it could have a suspension lift on it? ive seen some other trucks with suspension lifts and i cant tell if im higher than them, so maybe you guys can help me

It certainly has a higher ride than stock. Did you check the springs/shocks/pitman arm for branding?

Your frame is really exposed. And I can see the body lift blocks under the bed. Main drawback to a body lift.

it's got a 3 inch body lift for sure but I doubt anything else.

Only way to tell is if it has a block between the rear spring and axle, or an add a leaf, which is harder to tell, but if so it's only 2 inches if that, front torsion bars can be cranked up too, no way to know on that one really unless the bolts are bottomed out.


The blocks being seen is an easy fix, it's called gap gaurds or make your own. Same goes for up front and raising the rear bumper to match.

If a 2 or 3" body lift is done, are there any other mods like steering that need to be fixed?

just a steering shaft extension from what I've seen. it comes in the kit.
