gauges for a lq4

I put a lq4 in my truck and was wanting to use the factory sensors and leads from the ecm to run the gauges. I want to use aftermarket gauges, what gauges can I use?

You really can't use the factory sensors for anything but the factory LQ4 gauges. If you're going to use aftermarket gauges, they should come with their own senders.

You can use the LQ4 speed output on the transmission, the coolant temp (on mine at least some can't) and possibility the oil pressure sender but that might not be very accurate...

Yes you can use the VSS in the transmission, but most gauge companies I've dealt with say not to run it offf the wire coming from the PCM, they usually say to tap directly into the wires coming out of the sensor. As for the temperature sender I would just use the one that comes with the gauge so you know it's accurate. I know if you use a three wire sender from a '98 LS1 they will sometimes work, but why bother if the gauge comes with one.. and for the oil pressure, I've never seen a factory one work with aftermarket gauges. Your best bet would be to either tap the bypass block above the oil filter, or you can get an adapter to put the aftermarket sender on the stock location, but generally they are too big to fit there. If it will fit there and you can't find an adapter you can break the plastic part of the original sender off and drill and tap the aluminum base of it and make an adapter out of that.
