I have Sanderson shortie headers, 2.25" pipes and Cherry Bomb turbo on my truck, no h pipe, they are perfect, not so loud you cant talk in the cab ( I do not have sound deadener..yet!) but load enough to irritate others on hard accel.

Flowmasters is the only way to go.

Opinions vary, you need sound clips to pick what "you" like.

Specifics:

• 350 SBC
• full length headers
• 30" long Cherry Bomb Glass Packs
• 2-1/2" tail pipes running all the way back to the back of the rear fenders
• true old school duals, no x-pipe.

One thing to keep in mind is the diameter and length of the tailpipes makes a huge difference in the sound of the exhaust.

I heard glasspacks arent as "flow efficent" is that true? Arent they straight through? Is there a set of packs that wont have the popping noise to them?

My understanding is that an "H" or "X" pipe will stop it.

But that's a big part of the "old school " part of it. Maybe it's an aquired thing?
