Radiator options
I'm looking for a radiator for my 07 4.8 in my 65 C10. Would you guys share your thoughts?
I was thinking of an entropy radiator, but would you use the 67-72 ls swap radiator he offers (http://www.entropyrad.com/index.php?...d&productId=21) or ask him to modify his 60-66 radiator? (http://www.entropyrad.com/index.php?...d&productId=15) Or anything else? I have the original radiator for the 283, any thoughts on adapting that to the ls engine?

The 63-66 trucks only have about 25" for the radiator, you can go wider but you need to sacrifice the battery box. I used this one and it cools just fine.

You can drill and tap the thermostat housing or you can put it in the upper rad hose using something from here...

I contacted entropy recently, and he said he could do an ls swap 63-66, but the standard radiator with those splicers would be cheaper, and then you could throw in the wiring harness

No, i mean use the 63-66 radiator with the hose splices clyde65 linked. I've never used those, but maybe someone else could give you info on how well they work. Xtreme 4x4 did a rear radiator ls buggy and they tapped something on the engine to run that port to. Been a while since i saw it but im sure its on their site

I have seen alot of LS swaps with the radiator hose(upper) spliced in and a fitting on there for the steam vent. I have also seen some that have drilled and tapped the water pump ( I said thermostat earlier and that was wrong). I dont have a steam port and havent had any issues, mine are blocked with the factory blocks.

Structures,
I run the Champion 3 row radiator from e-bay store. Stock dimensions and works very well with 6.0L. I clamped a AN bulkhead fitting and o-ring washer in the tank for the steam line. TR

back ttt for a slight hijack question ... Are the upper and lower radiator hoses the same size for LS and SBC engines? Reason: thinking about putting the Entropy LSx conversion radiator in my blazer and drive for the summer before putting in an LS engine. Thx!

I am using the entropy radiator, 67-72 ls swap radiator, it's still in the box, just haven't gotten to that part on my truck. I will post my thread soon, though.

No the upper LS is about 1.3" and the lower is 1.6" I believe.
My 65 rad had 1.5" and 1.75" respectively.

I used a Be-Cool SBC radiator and some custom hoses (part #'s from Napa are listed on my build). My steam vent is tapped into one of the lines for my heater core.

you can get a custom alum rad with matching hose connections for your truck.

LS has 1-1/4" top & 1-1/2" bottom rad hoses SBC has 1-1/2" top & 1-3/4" bottom rad hoses |
