WIW: 1968 stock 396 Big Block
I found a 68 C20 today that I'm thinking about buying for the a/c cab and the truck has the factory 396 big block. It has power steering and a/c, but it's missing the compressor and brackets. Is there a market for the 396? If so, how much might it be worth? It's been sitting for a few years so I'm not sure if it runs.

Is it beyond saving? Might be worth more if you fixed it up and turned it around, then find another cab?
Just a thought.

Re: WIW: 1968 stock 396 Big Block
It doesn't have a bed but it actually has some decent options. A/C, PS with remote reservoir, PB, CUSTOM package, outer molding trim, tach dash with throttle cable, 396 with TH400, but it's a C20 longbed which just doesn't have as much resell value and the front clip has been swapped to a 69-72 (missing grille). I can buy the truck without the motor for $750 or with the motor for $1200.

lol, yeah. I think you should be able to get your $450 back out of it so I'd go ahead and pick it up with the motor.
