LSx section input. What would you like to see?

I've been doing a little work with the stickies if you haven't noticed and need some input.
What do you think should be changed about this section?
Have something you think should be added to the LSx Swap FAQ index?

Post up! Lets make this place even better

Re: LSx section input. What would you like to see?

maybe a list of the possible replacement gas tanks that work in these trucks? so far i have seen:

Stock
87-91 blazer
87-90 jeep wrangler
99 and up camaro z28
Aftermarket (fuelcellguy or the other guy)

And maybe a list of some of the companies offering aftermarket wire harnesses...lists are nice and easy to find. Trying to search for stuff through 10 different build threads gets difficult after a while.

Re: LSx section input. What would you like to see?

I think there would be value in having more fuel system information. The configuration is fairly easy to find as far as Corvette filter/regulator setups go but beyond that I found it a little difficult to sift through the various fuel line options that will handle the pressure and flow requirements. I'd be willing to post an example of the setup I used as well as the part numbers used. Maybe it would be good to get an example of each option (braided, stainless, twist lock styles, aluminum, ect) that members have used with part number lists?

Re: LSx section input. What would you like to see?

You guys are killing me already I would love to be able to throw all kinds of FAQ's together. However I just don't have the time.

How about this? In the LSx Swap FAQ index I put a "List of possible LSx FAQ topics" Then when you, me or someone has time and would like to contribute to the FAQ, they can throw a post together with all of the info. I'll be more than happy to do editing/moving/stickie whatever needs to be done to help.

Re: LSx section input. What would you like to see?

I was actually thinking it may be best to specifically delegate certain topics to any members who are willing to work on them and then make a post requesting that any members willing to contribute information pertaining to any FAQ's contact the members looking after each topic? Once the topic is posted further revisions can be made via the input of other members for further clairification if needed.

No matter how we go about it, it is going to take time and I think it would be cool having a really comprehensive resource for this stuff. FWIW I would be willing to tackle the fuel system info.

Re: LSx section input. What would you like to see?

How about a LSX build thread section, so we don't have to go through all of the regular build threads to find the one's we are really interested in?

Re: LSx section input. What would you like to see?

The best way to get a new section to form, is to show the interest. If you guys start a build thread index or such, show that there is call for it, and it may happen.

In restructuring the FAQ area of the site, I did add a section for LSx stuff. So if you guys can get some good writeups n such done, we can copy them there as well.

We do have a build thread index. I just have not updated it yet.

Any special requests for the build thread index?

Re: LSx section input. What would you like to see?

I have started up the fuel system topic in the new lsx faq area. It is unfinished, but the basic layout is there. If you guys want to look it over and help fill in the blanks, I'd appreciate it. And as mentioned there, I'd like any input via PM so I can keep the thread organized by topic.

Lookin' good! I'll Send you a bunch of pics and stuff once I get everything. Thanks!

Anyone else want to volunteer for a FAQ write up? Once I get a chance I'm going to do one on LSx sensors with locations.

I'll start adding builds to the LSx build thread index ASAP!

I'll be doing my fuel system install in the coming weeks, so i can do a pictorial guide kinda thing as I go.

Also, my build will have my LSx swap info in it if you want to add it.
