how to flush out a AC system?

I have a project that has been sitting for 2 years. The connection for the AC were unhooked and tubing exposed to the elements. What is the best way to clean out a AC system?

ac or radiator? i have a container that you load cleaner in then pressure it up and blow through your hoses and that cleans it.

I was told that if the clean goes into some parts of the system, those parts have to be replaced....is that true?

Take it to an A/C guy, they can forward and reverse flush it to make sure it's clean. Have it ready to hook up and charge, save a trip.
