Re: My Little girl and her 60 apatche
My 16yo daughter would love to drive my truck, but in my case I learned from her older sister to just say no.
Lucky girl IMO!

Re: My Little girl and her 60 apatche
Thanks for the good words, It is real special to me.
I have 4 kids she is the youngest and the only one who is into Old stuff this is a factory 283 truck that still runs good I am going to put a T350 with floor shift in it for her and a new spilt bench seat in it since she is so small that no one could ride with her without setting on the dash, lol and she wants to stay with a bench seat, I am doing it the way SHE wants so it will be painted red and white with wide white walls on it she likes the stance so it will be pretty stock I will put a diff. drivers side rear fender without the spare cut out repalace the bed wood and put a ton a cover on it and she wants I LOVE LUCY painted on the tail gate. She is driving it now but I plan to get on the body and paint here real quick like. My Dad is almost finished with his 57 truck and we will work on hers together it has already been fun but I am sure we will have many more great memories to come. She tells me classy chicks drive classics. How can you argue with logic like that? |

Re: My Little girl and her 60 apatche
Is she going to help with the work?
My 16 year old daughter has been out helping me almost every minute I have been out there. She gets a kick out of showing up some of the boys at school with her car and truck knowledge. |

That is a great picture! I can only hope my daughter (5 years old now) is still into the old cars & trucks by that point. Very cool!

Re: My Little girl and her 60 apatche
Thanks again, She is more of a helper/ desinger another words she just hands me parts/tools and tells me what to do. This morning I was trying to talk her into some new side mirrors but she likes those huge ones that are on it so I guess they will stay.

Re: My Little girl and her 60 apatche
Awsome man!!! Congratulations. I took my 16 year old daughter for a ride in my truck last week. She was ALL smiles. It was her first time riding in it since it's back on the street. Last time she rode in it she was 5 years old.

Re: My Little girl and her 60 apatche
Nice work. Maybe I can get my daughter to downgrade to a truck from a Vette in the next 6 years.

ha ha ! yay for her! Make the truck look like a truck! Everyone always asks me when I'm gonna take my big honkin' mirrors off of my truck... and I say: what for? I put them on there! However, they do take a little getting used to driving around... you can't look 'over' the mirror, it creates an interesting blind side when you go to pull out into a road. -W |

Re: My Little girl and her 60 apatche
Cool truck and even better is having the project for both of you to work on. If you were closer I would swap fenders with you since I want the spare tire fender. Good luck with the project and red and white is the best way to go.
