Red face Am I so obsessed.....?

Hello all.
My old farm truck is legal to drive as of yesterday. It's a 51 3100. I am getting around now to some of the less vital projects within this project. Because we all know how many projects there are on your project truck.

I now have the tailgate attached with bailing wire because the end pieces are gone. It will work for now but I am looking to fix it and use the original tailgate. So I need the ends where the tailgate sits on the hinge and the hook at the top goes through. I don't have a pic right now, I'm using my phone to post this.

Am I so obsessed with this project that I truly believe that I saw those parts in an ad?I can't find them anywhere. Anybody know where to find these??? Am I crazy??

Yes that is the backup plan. Have a friend of a friend, says he can do fab work. Just thought I'd try to find pre fab ones to weld in.

Not a great photo but this is approximately what the tailgate should look like.

Someone might have a tailgate that isn't any good except for those pieces that they could take off for you.

I'll dig in the catalogs when I get home.

As long as you're using baling wire and not that "mechanics wire" stuff you're OK.
