Re: Jeffs70's Custom C-10 Build

Well I Finely Broke down and had to Sale my Truck.
LOL Yeah right to that. I have to much invested into this one to sale lol. any how I did good yesturday Finely Sold the Donor I got the Bed and Frame and some other parts off of. and the good news is I fixed it back up decent enough to sale for just around the same price I purchased it for so I think I gained in this project just under 3k so now the good thing will be that money will go directly into this project to get it on the road this summer i hope..yay I am stoked!

Re: Jeffs70's Custom C-10 Build

I have gained some good progress and have gotten my brakes setup just the way I am wanting them. I have went ahead and relocated my Prop Valve to my Frame and Flared my own Brake lines and bent them to a nice fit. also got my Fenderwell in on the driver side after doing some modifications to get a smooth look and take out some factory bends that do not need to be there.

Hey there Cheby thanks.

well today i got my brake lines all fit together and bleeded the master cylinder on the truck just like a bench bleed and that worked fine till I went to bleed the lines and wheel cylinders. I noticed the master cylinder started to leak some fluid inside the cab so now my next step is to put on another master cylinder tonight and hope to get it bleed totally. the bummer part is the master cylinder that was on the truck looks cleaner on that firewall then the newer one. guess ill have to just change it again later to one i like.

Re: Jeffs70's Custom C-10 Build

I got quit a bit done recently as far as body work under the hood and also got my hood back from painting the underside.
also did some work today on shaving my stake pockets in the bed.. I would have left them but they are just a pita to work around any how and useless after plugging up the rails.

I laid down some paint yay go me lol im stoked. this is not totally done but it will be in the next few days as I still have to do some minor body work on a few dings but for the most part its clean and sprayed. the center section of the inside of the bed will be gloss black. I wanted something different so here it is. also dont mind some of the wet primer still lol

Hey slick thanks alot. im very happy with the out come so far. alot of hard work but I think im getting there one day at a time. The Radiator/Grill fill in was actually really tough. took me a week to just get it fabricated. I had welded every piece there so thats what took so long. the curved area. is where the hardest was. I didnt have a roller for sheet metal so I cut some tubing in half and made it work just perfect and welded it to the sheet metal. I think if I had the roller it would have been so much easlier. now If you went along and made one with out the curve and just bent it into a 90 there it would work too and get away from all that hard work. but now that I did this I had to also mod it up on the underside to have a pull cable to open my hood.

Re: Jeffs70's Custom C-10 Build

im still not to sure if i will keep this color or not. thats why i tested it inside the bed. because I got it cheap enough. I think I am darting for a more of a silver with a blue metalic. or pearl. but for temp this works for me for now. least everything is easy to work with now.

im really in a good mood the last few weeks since it seems everythings going together very well. I purchased me a Red Air Ride Tech Valve block off Ebay for really cheap and wanted to test it out so I plummed up my air ride last night and I am so stoked it worked great. and I will finish the install in a few days.

Re: Jeffs70's Custom C-10 Build

The pearl would look cool, to see the outcome of the pearl on our trucks check out my freinds thread. His name is Chris and he lives about 20 minutes from me. I went and looked at his project today and it is really clean. He already has his paint and it should be getting sprayed soon. Here is the link to his build. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...=379333&page=9
Hope this helps you with color decisions!!
