confused with Mcgaughys shocks???

ok so McGaughys website shows 1350 front and 1850 rear shocks for our trucks with the 4.5/6 drop, but today on Summit, the McGaughys shocks showed the 1350 shock only being a 0-4" drop sock and the 1850 being a 3-5.5" drop shock. Thats 1/2" short on both ends of the 4.5/6 drop for our trucks. McGaughys makes a 2050 4-6" drop shock for the rear but its not listed as the shock needed for the kit. Im just confused about this and thought maybe someone could enlighten me. It seems something isnt right if the shock recommended doesnt even ft the range of our trucks drop height.

It's possible that its input error on one site or the other. If it were me, I would call Mcgaughys and get a confirmation before ordering.

Re: confused with Mcgaughys shocks???

That happened to me, They had shocks listed for use with 4-6" drops. I called the Manufacture and they said the shocks could be used with drops up to 8inches. If you run into any problems with the drop shocks being to far compressed from to much drop just buy the 60$ shock extenders. Thats what I did for full shock travel.

Re: confused with Mcgaughys shocks???

got an answer from a vendor....this may be helpful to everyone..

Hi
the spindle does not affect your travel of the shocks so you really only have 2 inches of drop on the 1350 shocks and for the rear i know the 1850's work for 5 6 or 7" of rear drop.
The 2050 shocks is too long for your truck it would work with a shackle hanger drop but not for more than 4" of drop
thanks tim
