"SPEC" Paint Code - What should I know?

We have a 61' K10 with the "SPEC" paint code. I believe this means "special" but what does that mean? We we're told this truck was originally sold to the Tahoe National Forestry department. Would this truck have been painted "special" to Forestry fleet color theme (in this case an Olive Green)?

Re: "SPEC" Paint Code - What should I know?

Did you ever find out what the code SPEC was for? I have a 1960 with the same paint code. When I got the truck it was yellow, I could see some green paint underneath. My truck came from the Oakhurst area, so it might be the same situation you have.
