47-53 door weatherstrip question

Can someone help me out with some info? I am gluing the weatherstripping to the door and see that in the catalogue it shows all the way around the door frame. It appears to me that it should not go across the bottom of the door. Also, the weather stripping extends a touch past the door frame is this correct? Maybe slight shrinkage in the heat?

My truck is a 49 with one piece window if this makes any difference. Thanks guys and any photos are a plus.

Re: 47-53 door weatherstrip question

Thaks for the information. I hate to admit this but I might have glued it in the wrong way if I did not look at the thread. I was not exactly sure what way the rubber glued in and now it makes sense. Prior it was sticking past the door edge and I thought something just was not right. Not the first or last time I would have made a bone head mistake. thanks again. Pictures to follow.
