power brakes in a 64

ok if i choose not to use the bracket for the 73-87 booster which spaces the booster out from the firewall what is required.

i used the master booster and prop valve from an 85. then just get a lot of tubing, a good bender and double flare tool and have at it. oh and you will have to lengthen the push rod but only like 1.5 inches.

thanks captain but im working on a very small amount of money more or less building it old school with cheap an simple stuff like i already have the booster an master cyclinder so in order to use your setup i got to buy new everything pb mc an the bracket to mount it

The only way I know of to get the booster and master closer to the firewall is to use a different booster. The '73-'87 boosters have the brackets riveted to the booster. This is one of the reasons I designed my booster bracket years ago. I didn't like how far the booster was from the firewall, I didn't like the looks of those brackets and I did not want to drill more holes in the firewall. The only think you would need to buy besides my booster bracket, is a booster from either a S10, or '88-'98 full sized truck. Those are fairly easy to find in the wrecking yards.
