Rear view mirror, are they all this cheezy?

I just installed the rear view mirror that I got from Truckshop. It's the day / nite mirror. When I looked at it it seemed ok but when I installed it, MAN is this thing Cheezey. The lever that flips from day to night is so loose and rattles so bad that the mirror vibrates when you have any type of bump. Are all the aftermarket mirrors like this? If so then I'll get the day mirror only. I'm really diapointed.

Re: Rear view mirror, are they all this cheezy?

The one I bought was good quality, but the glass did have a minor vibration at speed. What bothered me most however was the mirror never flipped "straight". Each time it was switched between day and night the mirror had to be readjusted because it ended up crooked. I got sick of putting up with it so I went back to my old crappy Walmart glue on the windshield mirror. It's solid as a rock and flips straight. It's very frustrating the amount of money that is spent on "reproduction" parts that only visually look like the original part. Many of them don't fit or work properly, at least not without rework.

This stupid this is going to stay on day. It won't stay on nite and will have to be adjusted every time. What a POS!!!! maybe the day only would be better

I leave my mirror on the night setting all the time. You can see just fine with it in the daytime.

my dealings with these repop mirrors and wiper arms have been TERRIBLE!
they look good but perform lousy.too flimsy not sturdy, thought it was just me.
