Re: lets hear those engines! 73-87 trucks!

Here is my '78 factory 5.7 Diesel. It still has the corvair turbo mufflers that were installed in 1979.

Re: lets hear those engines! 73-87 trucks!

The first part of this clip is the same as the first one I posted, but the second half of it also shows my 78 K10 with 3/4 ton axles and 412 small block running. I should have posted this clip in the first place but I forgot that I had it.

Re: lets hear those engines! 73-87 trucks!

When I first fired it up idling a bit high.

Now with idle adjusted and timing locked down.

Re: lets hear those engines! 73-87 trucks!

Already posted here but I put a new engine in, here's a video before adjusting carb/timing.

Has Longtube headers, no catalytic converters, true duals, flowmasters... thinking of going thresh welded mufflers maybe

Re: lets hear those engines! 73-87 trucks!

Here is one to make your truck sound amazing! This is the first time my truck has run in over 7 years and YES it is running on 7 year old CALIFORNIA crap-tastic gas. I have a bit of work ahead of me.

Re: lets hear those engines! 73-87 trucks!

This is the only good video I have of my truck, havent gotten around to doing an actual exhaust video. Stock 350 with headers, 3" true duals and stainless steel Flowmaster 40s, exits in front of the rear tires...
