Re: Poly vs Rubber Cab Bushings - need opinions

with poly bushings my cab didn't sit correctly on the frame and the front clip took alot of tweeking to get it to even be close. I switched to rubber bushings and everything lined up perfectly! bushings were designed to give. less give = rougher ride, more vibration transmitted from drivetrain to driver.

I do not like anything that is pure polyurethane. I had a terrible time with it squeaking on a couple of projects many years ago and vowed to never use it again. I prefer rubber or poly-graphite where available.

I'm of the other camp, I like them.
Have had them on about 6 years now. I didn't have any cab fitment issues, can't recall what if any vibrations changed, nothing that got my attention anyway.

Re: Poly vs Rubber Cab Bushings - need opinions

Thanks everyone for your feedback.

The issue with me - I've got mine replaced (was worn factory rubber, cracks) - but also the suspension (ball joint, shocks) has been pretty much shot ever since I've gotten it (10 years ago) - so I don't even know if I'll notice a difference between the the two afterwards anyways.

I'll be reassembling the truck soon, so I hope it doesn't cause fitment issues.
