Re: Show us you're seats
I just picked up a set of buckets out of a 2000 Caddy SeVille this weekend. Not mounted at all yet but I got the seats.

Re: Show us you're seats
Do NOT touch the yellow plugs on the seat bottoms - if your seats are like mine - those are for the side airbags.

Re: Show us you're seats
Someone told me that they were *certain* they were for the seat heaters. Lord musta been looking after me that day, because I looked it up in a service manual first.

Re: Show us you're seats
Also, if they are like the seats I looked at (2005 CTS), the air bag is tied to the seat belt and it will lock if the bag deploys. Not sure if there is an aftermarket belt that would work, but replacements cost more than what I paid for my seats. That's why I went with a seat sans seatbelt.

1. the inertia-activated belt lock that keeps the belt from pulling out if there's a sudden decelleration; 2. the power-retractor that will fire off and tighten the seatbelt and lock it. The retractors shouldn't activate if they're not connected... I think... |

Re: Show us you're seats
Not a good pic of the seat but you can get the idea. It is an 80s model seat with red piping and red thread used on the pleats. I thought the red thread was a stupid idea when the upholstery suggested it but, it is a lot more subtle than it sounds.

Re: Seats ???
Alan, I'm using the same seats in my truck. Have you come up with any good ideas on how to mount them yet? In order to have room to flip up the arm rest, the front mounts stick out beyond the hump in the floor. Just curious. Thanks.
