Cool Chassis Eng. Rear End Kit Install 1949 Chevy Truck

This is the second part of my sons project. We did the Nova Subframe install and now he finished the rear leaf spring kit from Chassis Engineering with the Nova rearend. Special thanks to Jim at Chassis Engineering, great guy, great product, and great company. Everything on the kit fit as it should with no modifications. Here are a few photos of the kit installed.

Looks good Wpotter. I have one there rear spring kits in my 47 Chev Delivery have about 80k miles on it sense the install. We load the heck out it on long trips and never bottoms out rides nice loaded or unloaded. Started to put there weld in rear kit in my 48 Chev PU. Changed my mind after I had it tack welded in Decided I wanted to be able to lay it on the ground. Went with Triangulated 4 Bar instead.

I have a post on here somewhere that shows the front end when we did it. I think the title was Nova subframe install but I'll try to find it for you.

Thanks guys for the comments. We also painted the frame with POR 15 so it looks a little bit better now.
