NSRA Nats north car show

I attended the NSRA Nats north car show this past weekend in Kalamazoo MI.
I took about 60 pics of various cars and trucks. I like all kinds of vehicals so there is a wide array.

Here is the link

Enjoy

youngrodder, Great pictures. I really like the color combo on your truck. Very nice truck and love the stance.

Re: NSRA Nats north car show

Nice pictures. I was up there all weekend but did not get to take my truck because of a running issue. I was riding with a buddy in a 1928 Ford Roadster pick up. It looks like you were parked on the corner on the west end of the fairgrounds toward the camper gate. If so we were parked just east of you. My friends were all parked together. They were driving the roadster pickup, a black 31 Model A prostreet with a flag painted on the trunk, an orange with white stripes 1969 Camaro and a red 1949 Chevy pick up (6 cyl. with two 1 barrels). It was one of the best weather weekends I can remember for that show and we have been going since 1997. If you were parked there Saturday you was also parked almost beside jgb7038 in his customized 48 Ford truck.

Thanks Shannon...This was the first show I was able to attend since I got the truck back on the road. I have been working out the bugs (for most of the summer). The show was a lot of fun.

Todd-

I was only there Friday and Sunday. Family calendar took care of Saturday. Talk about running issues. It took me 3 attempts, a trip to NAPA and three hours to make the 15 minute drive to the show. Ha ha ha. It ran great after that..

Glad you was able to make it. Sounds like one of my adventures. We were there Thursday to move the camper in and stayed till Sunday about 2:00pm. It is a little over a 6 hour drive for me to get up there. My friends with the Camaro and the 49 Chevy truck live in Dowagiac, MI. I really like that show and hope to have my truck there next year.

"Next year" has been my motto for the past few years that's why I was bound and determined to make it this year.....Even if I had to come home on a flat bed I was going to make it to the show. After my initial problems it was smooth sailing the rest of the weekend.

Marc, you couldn't come home on a flat bed truck because then it would be a trailer queen.. ha ha.. glad you had a good time for your first time out..

Your funny....Between the exhaust and alignment I was racking up more miles on a trailer that I care to count. I was starting to get a "trailer Queen complex"..

Re: NSRA Nats north car show

You sir are about 999,995 pictures too short of having enough. I friggin love it!

If I wasn't going the "pro street" look, and if I wasn't a young and dumb kid looking for speed, this is the direction I would go. Love it love it love it. Hope to see it some day! Do you plan on going to BTT50's this year?

Ned-

Thanks for the compliments..I need to get it out more this year. I'm currently focusing on the interior. As for BTT50's, I will need to see when it is. Having too small boys keeps my family calendar pretty packed on the weekends.

Re: NSRA Nats north car show

Thanks! Looks awesome! Beautifully done, well thought out build.

Who did your rendering?

1st, I also noticed, you didn't use fender welting. Did you use something to keep the paint separated?

2nd, When you are fully aired out, how much clearance do you have between the rear tires and the top of your tubs? and how tall are your tires?

Just have to post this picture for the pure beauty! haha

Re: NSRA Nats north car show

Ned-

This rendering was done by Carter Hickman who is the best in the business. He actually posted the rendering on this site some time ago. It was about the time I was getting ready for paint. I used it but that was before I knew who Carter Hickman was and the fact that he does these for a living.

No fender welding for me. I used strip caulk. It worked great and is pretty inexpensive. Its personal preference but I think it looks more modern without fender welding. My fenders are also painted on the back side.

The rims are 20 x 10 with a BS of 4". The tires are 275 x 45 x 20. I bet I have about an inch of clearance, but I'm guessing because it is hard to see up there. I also flattened my fender brace for added clearance.
