Love those...are they marquez designs or something else? Also, a quick detail suggestion...could you get some allen top stainless screws that you can polish up and install to keep it flush....I think that would take them up another notch..

VA72; thanks they were just some screws I had laying around. Youre rite, socket head SS would look the best, I have to locate some countersunk ones

Yep, thats the one, a little nox chrome cleaner and its shining away. It has just the right amount of patina to fit with my build, trying to make it look like a forty year old surviver

Thanks again for dropping it off

Sorry I forgot. They are the Marquez Design

How about if I just put up some random pics to entertain you till you are reunited with your truck

I have now acquired my 67 hood and inner fender wells.....thanks rochlow!
Actually, hood was gotten from a personal stash of two board members, names witheld to protect the innocent. Kinda surprised they didnt blindfold me, since the trucks and parts in this barn were amazing
Also, picked up a brand new, never mounted super swamper 10.50x31 for 15bucks

Now, 3 more tires and my parts seaching will be done, only took the better part of 10 years

Actually, I never followed up after our conversation, so it might still be there...
Enjoyed talking to you, call me anytime! Tell your son, thanks for putting so much tape on the box

I think I will have to ship Greyhound more often, that was pretty painless

I also bought a 67, 68 GMC hood for parts, big dent on the top. Only paid 30 bucks. Let me know if you need it, before I cut into it.

Re: PO has me PO'd

Finally figured out the best and most controlled tool to use on the plastic.....

Width has to come down to 2.240", by using the backer board on the router table it is an easy task to make strait cuts

Then, I had to make the cuts on the face of the lense. It is the two raised ribs on the face, only remove the outside ribs as the inside ribs clear the billet piece, with minimal cutting on the ends....more later

Works for me, it might be a while til I see it again. I retired in July, but am now going to work for MSC sailing again. Might be 6 months til I see my two money pits again...

Congrats on the router, hopefully that gets you in the ball park.

The only MSC I know of is Manhatten Supply Company, is that the one.

Ibought a band saw from Harbor Freight, so those two tools should work well to finish the mods on the side marker

Understand about tne retirement, if I want to keep playing with my toys, work is the only option

Nah, this is Military Sealift Command. Just another department of the Navy, but I get paid overtime. Will be cool to get paid for all the hours I work for a change. And yep, if you want to play, you got to pay.

Sorry, forgot you had that military connection...you could always ship that Camaro to me to watch for you, I would even put on rear shoes, since I would probably burn them up

Whats that old addage about paying the piper......if you want to dance to the music
