Bed Rails?
Does anyone have a good picture of the factory installed 85 SWB bed rail?
I've heard tales that it was a dealer installed option, but I'm not sure. Anybody have any taking up space? Does anyone know anyone that carries a good quality factory style bed rail? Thanks, Jimbo

Re: Bed Rails?
Dealer accessory, not a factory option. But still a GM part. Ebay is your friend for those. Has been a few others looking for them on here as well. They are discontinued by GM though.

Thanks!
Are the El Camino rails the same? $700 for a set? Ouch!

Re: Bed Rails?
No, the El Camino rails are totally different. El Caminos do not have a flat horizontal bed top to mount to, they mount on the side of the bed on the outside.

Re: Bed Rails?
I've got two really nice sets in my garage. I always thought they were a dealer installed accessory.
Interesting though, my glove box option label lists D73 Cargo Box Side Rails |

Re: Bed Rails?
You can see them in some of the pics in my photo gallery. I sold them to another board member several years ago.

Re: Bed Rails?
Does anyone have the GM part #?
BTW, thanks everyone for your info! It's good to be on a board where everyone acts civil, doesn't critized constantly, and actually have info that adds to a thread!

If you need any close up shots, I can get them for you today. I have a set on the bed for my truck. They are coming off though...

Re: Bed Rails?
I have a '84 swb with bed rails. I'm pretty sure I remember seeing an RPO code listed for them, I will check tonight. Either way, I have an attached pic handy.
