burning man taxi
just drug this home today. 1984 halfton scottsdale suburban. 6.2/700r4. the guy wanted 500 dollars and I got him down to 200. it runs like a top with new injection pump and injectors. the PO even installed a new hydro boost, master cylinder, calipers and rear brakes before she drove it out to burning man. she had to have it towed home because the transmission went out. after i got it home i popped a new governor in the transmission and it drives and shifts beautifully. I would drive it, but its rusty. the rustiest squarebody suburban ive ever seen. im keeping the motor for my 3/4 ton project and the transmission is going in my friends caprice cop car.

Re: burning man taxi
Ultimate deal. If left as is, this could be a tremendous good move financially.
i'm not saying leave it as is, i'm just saying if one were to leave it as is it would be a tremendous wealth building move. Because, basically, you've got something that will get 24-27 mpg and in some places diesel is cheaper than gas but will get into that later and something that is easy/cheap to fix. |

Re: burning man taxi
I tried selling the white suburban for $1500.00 last year and nobody wanted it and its beautiful. the blue suburban has bad rust, the headliner and carpet has been ripped out, the body is beat and the tailgate is destroyed. i just dont see the value in it.

Re: burning man taxi
I wasnt trying to sell or trade for anything. just posting up a truck that fell into my lap is all.
BRUISER: as far as the 700r4 goes, I believe the only difference is the converters. |
