Brakes grabing after replacing booster

69 Chevy C10. Replaced the brake booster and now the brakes are grabbing. It had a brake booster on it before and in the rebuild process I just decided to replace it. Couple of things of interest. There is a little screw on the end of the pushrod that goes from the booster into the master cylinder. The Chevy shop manual says this little screw is supposed to be screwed out 1.2 inches. I screwed it 1.2 inches. It wasnt screwed out any on the old booster. Also, the pedal arm is about 1/2 inch from touching the rubber bumper under the dashboard. Cant adjust the brake pedal pushrod out any further without running out of threads. Any thoughts or observations would be appreciated. Thanks
