What gears to run?

I was looking for some help on what gears to run. I have an ls2 and 4l70e out of a tbss. My tire diameter is 29.5". I was thinking either 3.42, or 3.73. Does anyone have any opinions?

Re: What gears to run?

I would go no lower than a 3.73 with that tall of tire.

Re: What gears to run?

I would like to try to build it as a daily driver, although it might turn into a cruise truck.

Re: What gears to run?

hmm, I know that the TBSS used a 4.11 stock gear, but with a heavier vehicle, and taller tire. I am leaning towards the 3.73, but I don't want something that just spins the tires all the time. I'll have to look at how much difference the trans gearing is in the 4l80e to 4l70e.
