LQ9 block and using a 4.8 accessories
Ok, I found a prepped LQ9 block from TX and having it built in Dallas. Using a stock crank, forged pistons and rods. I also grabbed some 317 heads for it, which I will have a little porting done to it.
Now I know in a perfect world I should have grabbed a complete LQ9 with the harness and ECM. So I found a donor 4.8 for brackets, pulleys, accessories and intake. The Question is, will I have any issues with using the ECM and the harness from the 4.8 on the LQ9? I know I am going to need a VSS signal generator because I am using turbo 400. |

You should be ok depending on the year of your LQ9 and the 4.8. What year are the engines?

Re: LQ9 block and using a 4.8 accessories
The LQ9 is a 04 and the believe the 4.8 is a 02. But I will have to verify that... its in TX also (all this stuff is so easy to find in TX, wish I lived there)
Thought about switching to a L92 water pump and triming PS bracket so I could use a LS6 intake. Dunno yet.. |

You should be good, If one were 07+ you would have issues.

Thanks!!
BTW I keep referring to the SWAP INFO you have linked in your signature, Sometimes I read too much from too many places and get overloaded. |
