identifying front clip
Hey Everyone,
Im hoping someone can help me out with identifying the year model of my front clip. So i can buy drop spindles and a new rubber overhaul kit for the front end. Also any suggestions on what brand or where i should get the 2" drop spindles from?? It would be a big help. I can take more photos if needed . Thanks

Re: identifying front clip
More pics would help.
IMHO it looks more like a Chevelle than a Camaro or Nova. It could also be from something else like a Monte Carlo. Kim |

Re: identifying front clip
Looks like a 74-81 camaro clip. As far as what year you will have to remove upper a arms and measure the outside diameter of bushing to find out.

Re: identifying front clip
I thought the only difference is the lower a arm bolts. the early used 7/16" and the later used a 1/2"

Re: identifying front clip
I think I'd be more concerned with getting the stub and frame plated a lot better where they match up before worrying about rebuild pieces for the stub.
Better shots of the crossmember it's self rather than just shots of the brakes and A frame might help some of the guys pin down the model and year a lot closer. |

Re: identifying front clip
Do you mean extra tall spindles to lift the truck? or just standard ?

Re: identifying front clip
Took me a while to ID my camaro clip also, in the end I googled the casting number on the spindle and some other parts. ended up being a 79-81. and narrowed further by checking outer bearing diameter (80-81). Great start and good luck!
