1965 Chevy C-10 rack and pinion

Hello out there... I'm new to this, but I'm needing some help in getting the right u-joints for the rack and pinion steering on my C-10. I purchased it with the r&P already installed. I have a new chrome steering column, but the angle to connect the R&P to the column seems very tricky... the spline for the R&P is very close to the headers. How do I go about determining what I will need without buying a bunch of parts and taking guesses?
Thanks.

Re: 1965 Chevy C-10 rack and pinion

Most rack setups use a pair of universal joints and a carrier bearing to support it.

Here is a shot of Dino's with a dropmember.

<edit> They are unisteer parts, about $75 each from Speedway or a site vendor here.

Re: 1965 Chevy C-10 rack and pinion

Hello everyone-- thanks for the tips... Here are some pics that I took last night. I figured once I bolt on the steering column, I'll be able to get a better idea as to how/what I will need.
