Re: PSI Conversions

I installed my PSI harness this past weekend. The quality is better that OE and the customer service is awesome. Jon did a great job on my stand alone harness. I went with PSI because of the good reviews over at LS1tech.com.

When I talked to Jon he said all their harnesses are 4' to 5' from the back of the engine.
He also said if they were any longer you could have trouble with a voltage drop.
I'm hoping I can get mine under my seat but will settle for it being in the cab.

Where is the best looking place to drill the hole for the harness to pass into cab? I want it to look clean not just like a random hole drilled

Re: PSI Conversions

I like where Dennis put his on "Silver" in his build thread. It is right behind the block/intake in the center of the firewall.

Re: PSI Conversions

I got mine and it's a very nice piece.
Unfortunately I'm still quite a ways from getting mine started but hope to be there in a couple months.
Here's a pic.
Harness, new pedal, E38 computer, re-flashed TC, and a MAF sensor.

Have a very good look at where you will have space to store your PCM in the cab before you drill your hole...too far to either side might be too visible and you may run out of wire to the PCM but too far in the middle and you may not have room behind the block to run the harness through the firewall.

Re: PSI Conversions

Are you all getting the DBW pedal and TAC module from PSI as well?

I was thinking of mounting the battery on the driver side and mount the computer under it.... I think the fuse box ends up on the driver side....
