Steering Gear Box

Does anyone know what would work for a manual steering box? Its an '87 C10. Thinking about taking it off to save some weight and HP.

Re: Steering Gear Box

If the later model gearboxes mount to the earlier frames to convert to PS, why wouldn't an early manual box mount to a later frame. May need to use some of the older style suspension stuff. Been a couple years since I helped on a conversion, so don't remember what all comes up. Do some reverse engineering from some of the other threads.
