I think the rad support does need to be notched. Delmo.. did you need to do this on Notcho ? It's either notch it or maybe the rubber mounts are too short.. looks like I need an extra .25" or .325" or so.. Any insight Nathan?

Re: Worlds Slowest Dropmember Build
Thanks a lot Mike. That's perfect, it tells me that 1. yes I need to do it and 2. gives me some good inspiration for how to make it happen.

Re: Worlds Slowest Dropmember Build
Alright, I guess it's time I updated my thread.
It's been a long time since I last posted and there have been several months (years) where I have put the truck on the backburner due to competing priorities but I've been back at it for the last several months and I've got a bunch of pics to update the thread. Here goes...... I changed direction significantly on the truck for several reasons which included some bubbles forming under the paint forcing me to repaint, wheel offset issues up front and I stumbled upon a motor that I couldn't resist. So here's the new direction for those of you who may not follow on along on instagram. The Truck's name is LIMBO.... as in "how low can you go" and as in "this build has been in Limbo for a long long long time.

Re: Worlds Slowest Dropmember Build
A friend of mine (board member here ClassicChev) happened to have a LS7 in his garage one day when I went to visit.... sooooooo... I bought it. Thanks Darren.
I really like Delmo's DELS3 style with the script covers etc. so the first step was to prep and paint it orange. and I got the new wheels as well...

Re: Worlds Slowest Dropmember Build
Mocked up the wheels to measure up for the narrowed diff...
Had the diff narrowed and BTW .. went with some custom axles from Dutchman Enterprises <-- they were awesome to work with; highly recommend. and ... got the rubber mounted Also picked up a brand new trans from my local GM dealership (4L70e) and a pretty cool oil tank for the LS7 Dry Sump

Re: Worlds Slowest Dropmember Build
I decided to update the chassis to handle the increased HP with PBFAB's Frame Stiffener setup.
Really cool, well designed and built and... super easy to install. Thanks Nate!!

Re: Worlds Slowest Dropmember Build
Raised my bedfloor pretty much the same way everyone else has been doing it... basically the same anyway. I decided to mount the oil tank in front of the pass side rear wheel and have the cap immediately below the bedwood (I will hinge a small section of the bedwood in front of the tub to gain access).
I also am suspending my air tank/exomounted compressors and other accuair stuff from the underside of the raised floor framework. I plan to access fuses close to the oil tank... I think. I had my local sheetmetal place bend me up a panel to cover the gap that would otherwise show with the tailgate down. It will also help finish off the bedwood termination at the tailgate as well.

Re: Worlds Slowest Dropmember Build
I picked up a set of Sanderson LS134 headers with the black ceramic coating and set the LS and new trans in the frame for the first time.
Pretty Tight to the frame on the passenger side so I "clearanced" slightly. Tons of room on the driver side
