4L80e shifter options

OK guys....my tuner (yep...switching it to efi as part of a trade) says I really don't want the six speed auto for drag racing, so I've nixed the 6L80e idea and will be going with a 4L80e.

What are you guys using to shift yours? while my column is an auto column I don't have the hardware to shift a trans that way. I have a B&M Megashifter installed now...would it be possible to keep what I have?

any shortcuts I need to know?

Thanks!

Re: 4L80e shifter options

I'm running a regular B+M for the 700r4. It connected to the 4l80e just fine once we figured out the cable end. Shifts into all positions, but getting it into 1st perfectly puts it in a pretty far "back" position. Thats also due to the oversized length of my shifter arm.

Re: 4L80e shifter options

I'm goin gto run a Winters shifter. Positive gate detents. Alot of offroad racers use this shifter...
the one below is only a TH350/TH400 but there is a image of the 4 speed shift patern...
