Re: dynatech 70-81 camaro ls swap headers

Pan looks like it fits well. Does it hang below the crossmember at all? Looks like you're using stock mounts? What adapters?

Nice work

Re: dynatech 70-81 camaro ls swap headers

So without the 3" Z these headers would probably hang below the frame?

I am using the S&P mid length headers. they fit nice, custom built and no frame mods.

...I didn't do the "z" to make the headers fit, I did the "z" to lower the truck and get the control arms off the ground.....plus I wanted long tube headers for my 6.0l....the dynatech's fit perfectly for this application.....

You should send them to me so I can show every one how they fit in a stock framed truck.

I guess I should clarify- the standard or stock mounting adapter plates move the bellhousing flange forward 1" compared to stock SBC. The so-called 1" setback adapter plates place the bell housing flange, and therefore the transmission, in the same relative position as before the LS swap.

It looks like you're still using the 73-87 clamshell style mounts. If so, what did you use to adapt them to the LS block?

Thanks, and sorry for being a pain
