Leaf springs for blazer

I know that Travis was saying that the 92-94 4x4 blazer leaf springs was what he used after flipping his axle, but does anyone know of any other springs that will work? I had some from a 1985 4x4 blazer, but they wouldn't work. I know there has to be others that will work, but not sure how to cross reference. I am new to the blazer side of the house. More experience with the 67-72 trucks. Hopefully someone can help me out cause right now my blazer is sitting on the rear bumpstops. Guess I may try cutting them off to see how low it will drop. I like the height it is right now though, with the front a little lower that is.

I only have experiance with the 4wd's but I am putting a suspension from a 90 Suburban on and the fronts were a direct bolt in. Just had to swap the heavier 3/4 ton shackles onto the 1/4 ton Jimmy. The backs are dependant on length. I am putting on the longer Suburban rears.

Since yours is lowered I have heard of using the 4X4 front leaf springs and removing a leaf as they are flatter. I don't know pros or cons, you'll need to research.

And to finally answer your question, all the square body springs should swap. The last warning though is the eyelet size on the bushings. If you get them from a larger weight capacity vehicle the bolt hole through the bushng may be larger than the ones on your Blazer.

Not a great explanation so any questions just ask and I will attempt to clarify.

I am like you I did the flip on mine. with the rubber remove on the bump stop it about a 1/16 touching the bump stop bracket . thought about taking my springs and have them arch don't know if it would work. I ask on here and never got a reply. right now my center of my rear is 2 3/4 inches from the floor. I am thinking it should have a least 2 more inches to that for travel

I flipped mine and ended up putting 4x4 rear spring hangers on it. It got me two inches of lift. Mine is notched and the axle was still banging the frame before I did this.

Just to clarify I only replaced the back set of hangers. Not the front.

Thanks for all the replies, guys. I know that Travis used the 92-94 4wd springs, but have had a hard time tracking them down here in San Antonio area. That is why I was wandering if any other springs would work. Thanks again for all the help.

Ok, let me possibly throw a wrench at this. I was looking at the Brothers catalog today and while looking through the suspension section noticed that the 78-80 K5 rear springs are listed as also being the springs for the 74-80 K10 and 79-80 K20. I called Brothers and it was confirmed that they are the same part #'s. Are the 2wd and 4wd spring packs different lengths on both the K5's and the pickups? I also see that they offer drop leaf springs in 52" and 56" lengths, I need to take a little more accurate measurement to be sure but taking a quick rough measurement my springs are pretty close to being 52".

Just went out and measured mine, its 50 1/2", crap! Just enough difference that I wouldn't be able to move the axle forward on the springs enough to get it centered in the wheelwell. Oh well back to the drawing board.

My trucks and Suburbans have been 52 and 56. My Jimmy is the smaller, as is yours. I'm moving my mount to run the bigger springs.

Well, gave up on locating the springs I need. I ordered a schrader valve Air over Leaf setup from Jason at AVS. I will just use the original springs and the bags.

Received the Air over Leaf schrader valve kit from Jason at AVS. Will try to get it installed today, depending on how cooperative my kids are, and will take pics for those interested.

BLAZIN I talk to a spring place they have springs for the 2wd blazer told me that they could may me a set that would lower the rear 2-3 inches from the factory height without doing a flip

a local place in town told me that they could take and re arch my springs with 2-3 inch of arch for me for 100.00 any one every done this if so how did it work out
