Re: Help Me Please ... Window glass and power regulater install...

I just did my doors and it wasnt too much of a pain, I actually found putting it back easier then pulling it apart. I don't have any pics. The only thing I can really suggest to you is to find an old scrap door to use as a guide, plus that would give you some extra parts to work with as well. Other then that when i reinstalled it all I started with the wing window first.

Why didnt they put it back together? Why did they pull the window regulator out from iniside the door to paint it?

Just got done with mine.
There are 4 bolts that hold the regulator/motor on the door.
You will have to open the regulator and squeeze thru hole where the door handle cable is. Once its in put the regulator on the window rails then bolt the 4 bolts

No reason to remove the regulator or the window to paint it the right way. Just roll them down and tape everything up. However, I do see a need to remove the window rubber trim and window seals. Just replaced both regs and motors on my 84 and it was a breeze. An hour to do both. Like the PP stated, 4 bolts (2 nuts, 2 bolts) and it is done.
