Pull-a-part day!
Hey guys. I was wondering if someone could chime in on some vent panels I got today at the local yard. There was a loaded 61 there and It looks like it still has some good stuff left interior wise. The deluxe wheel is gone, but still has the deluxe heater/controls, dash stuff. I grabbed the lower kickpanel vents and brackets. They have a covered grill and are pull cable operated with nice chrome knobs, they worked really nice. I've never seen/noticed these before. Was this an option? or a specific year deal? All Ive had/have are the manual pull type on the vent itself. As you can see I couldn't pass up the sweet BBW panel. Its a shame the trucks fate was destined to a salvage yard.

Re: Pull-a-part day!
I can grab the bumper if someone wants it. I'm out of town for a couple weeks tho. Yeah, the BBW panel and all my vent stuff cost me 23.85! Boy did I get robbed.

Great score on some cool stuff! I agree with going back for the bumper...
I have those same vents on my '62.

Yeah, came on the 61 also...Put them in my 63...love em. Very easy conversion for anyone wanting to upgrade to the cable vents.

Re: Pull-a-part day!
For the guys contacting me about the other parts, I will not be going back for at least 2 weeks. I'm out of town. If that stuff is still there I'll grab it and let ya know what the cost was on the parts you wanted. Hope I can help out.
