Saved a '90 Instrument Cluster

On my 1990 Suburban, the speedometer/odometer has been inop for at least a month. I don't have much sense, and I have even less time, but I finally tracked down the problem. The capacitor on the circuit board on the back of the speedo had shorted out. (see bad photo #1) As I recall, it's value is 150uf, 25 v. Replace it.

In trying to plug the speedo back in, I noticed the copper leads that extend from the circuit board were wadded up inside the plug. This copper is pretty strong, but it's super thin and pliable. It'll fold up against the slightest resistance. Couldn't think of any way to get it to hold in place inside the plug.
I'm very lucky to have a neighbor who's good with electronics. He soldered molex connectors from the copper on the circuit board to the male connection on the speedo. Working like a champ. Hope that helps somebody.
