Timing issues

Trying to set the timing on my 1991 suburban but having issues finding the advance timing mechanism wire to disable it. Then I can set my base timing. Any help with this? Any tips or tricks I need to know about?

Re: Timing issues

Should be near the brake booster. It's a weatherproof connector.
