Running a toggle switch for air ride

I had this wired already, but changed out all my wiring and i didnt take note how it is supposed to be wired...yes, i do this all the time (i need to take pictures or notes before pulling stuff off)

does it go... terminal 86 from the relay to the pressure switch on the tank..other prong on the pressure switch to one prong on the toggle, other prong on the toggle to the battery...?

does that sound right? i thought i had a wire from the switchbox wired into the toggle, but i dont remember...

any help? also thinking how to run a toggle for the valves too..

Re: Running a toggle switch for air ride

or..does the compressor power run to the toggle, other toggle prong to battery, 86 terminal to pressure switch, other prong of pressure switch tapped into prong that goes to battery...?

The keyed source being your toggle switch.

Re: Running a toggle switch for air ride

So power to toggle split 2 ways:

1) pressures switch---- 86 relay----85-ground
2) switchbox power source

Re: Running a toggle switch for air ride

So the first post is right? I think my switchbox power was tied into the top prong on the toggle, which went to the battery.

And other toggle switch prong runs to pressure switch, right?

Re: Running a toggle switch for air ride

They would go from the same prong on the toggle so you have power to both at the same time, and off at the same time.

Re: Running a toggle switch for air ride

So switchbox power to top prong of toggle, battery wire also to top prong of toggle. Bottom prong runs to pressure switch, other prong of pressure switch to 86 on relay?

When i had this wired before, my switchbox would still work with the toggle off if i remember right...forgive me if i sound redundent, i dont have a lot of experience in electrical work!

If you wire the power in and switchbox on the same side then the switches will always have power. Switch it over if you want to turn the box off.

The pressure switch side sounds right.

Re: Running a toggle switch for air ride

Ah ok, sounds like i have it straight then..

I was thinking for some reason that i had the compressor wire running straight to the toggle...i wish i had more knowledge of how this stuff works. I dont see how a wire ran from the toggle to the pressure switch would kick the compressor on/off...
