64' c10
Any help guys? I have a 1964 C10 with an 80' 350 engine i have HEI distr. on it but after idling for a few mins i press the gas and the engine turns off. It will only turn back on if I have th egas pedal floored but if I leave it sit for awhile it will turn back on again like no problem. Does anyone here have any ideas the HEI and plugs. This is the only think keeping my truck from running. I should could use some help.
Thanks. Estevan |

Re: 64' c10
Sounds to me like you may have a carburetor problem, way too rich, pressing and holding the gas to the floor is how you clear a flooded engine, more details would help with diagnosis.

Re: 64' c10
i had the carburator replaced with a rebuilt one about a year ago and never really ran it much till now or try to till now.
it idles at about 10-15 for about 5-8 mins when i press the gas to lower it to around 10 then it starts dieing. i also try to put it in gear when it starts to die too. |
