How hard can it be?

I have more ideas than I do money but I found a gold mine of 60's chevy trucks and it got me to thinking:

I have a 64 short stepper. The dash is flat and boring.

How difficult would it be to put a 61 double hump dash in the 64? (at least I think 61 was a double hump)

If nothing else goes wrong I should have this beast back on the road in about 10 more days.

All a matter of taste I guess, personally prefer the dash you have (mine is the same).

Re: How hard can it be?

Assuming that the outer dimensions are the same you could do it but it would be quite a lot of work. The dashboard is attached to the windshield frame by way of a whole bunch of spot welds.

Check this thread and ask the builder. He has put an older dash in a newer truck.
