yeah...
won't work.
even the "chrome reverse wheels" of old had the centers drilled, or ground out and then flipped to give the car a wider stance- the wheel width, of course, stayed the same, it just would change the back space and put the rims more outboard.
to do what you are talking about would require a lot of fab that is better left to a wheel guy- like stockton or something.... imo
