More progress, harness is finished except for tying into the starter solenoid at the fuseblock for the ECM crank signal wire. Putting a 20 gallon tank on the driver's side, since I use it more frequently. Might convert the passenger to a 20 down the road. New pumps and everything installed and got the TBI dual tank crossover lines on the truck. Just need to get the tanks back in the truck now. Also wired in the ALDL and tied the ECM SES ground into the instrument cluster to use the Choke light as the SES light. VSS is hooked up as well.

Been a while since I've updated this. Finally got the engine in and running! Please kindly excuse all of the ugly zip ties, I haven't loomed all of the wiring yet.

In the middle of a full suspension rebuild on this one...One of the front contrl arms took a major hit at some point before I bought the truck and was loose on the shaft. Got a new arm and all new parts. Also scored a factory swaybar off the truck I got the a-arm from. It had been added by the owner, so I was able to just unbolt the brackets and bar and take it with me (no grinding/drilling factory rivets, woo!!!)

Just waiting for wheel bearings, swaybar bushings, and wheel seals to show up today, and it's all going back together. Should ride like a new truck, since I am replacing EVERYTHING:

Just noticed looks like your control arms are bent slightly.
The area is around the new upper control arm bushing, control arm edge needs to be flush with the bushing lip.

On the upper arm, I think it's just an optical illusion in the photo, as the bushing shell is even with the bushing edge. The lower arm in the picture you added arrows to is a picture of my old bent A-Arm that inspired this entire rebuild.

Truck is back together now and drives like a dream! It's so tight and responsive, feels very solid, no more bouncing all over the place when I hit a bump, either!

I'll tell you what, that old suspension was WORN out. I put all of the original shim packs back in, and matched the tie-rod length when I reassembled with the new parts...
This is what I wound up with before getting it aligned this morning! Can you say positive camber and crazy toe-in?! The alignment guy had to remove a large majority of the shims that were in place, and adjust the tie-rods way out.




I even got compliments from the alignment guy on rebuilding the front end, he said it looked perfect.
