Well I finally got a patina 63 BBW custom short bed

Well the curse of the BBW is over. Over the last 6 years of playing with these trucks, I have been trying to find a solid patina 63 BBW custom shortbed. Its been a long hard fight, but I finally got one. I having been trying to buy this truck for 7 monthes and finally the previous owner was ready to sell and I was still in the market. It rides & drives as nice as my new mustang and already has a new late model 350 with a 350 auto trans, power streering & rebuilt rear end with 308 gears. I got some future plans for it, and plan on driving the wheels off it.

The most perfect patina I've ever seen.
What dealer/town does the rear bumper have stamped in it?

Re: Well I finally got a patina 63 BBW custom short bed

I'm sorry sir but local zoning regulations do not allow you to have 3 historic vehicles in your possession.

You will have to sell your latest acquisition to someone out in Arizona.

Nice truck.....hard to find one that hasn't been spray painted.

I was thinking about trying it, but you think it would work? There is no paint left at all on the tops or on the sides for that matter.

Re: Well I finally got a patina 63 BBW custom short bed

Im gald you guys like it! I'm not getting the same reaction at the local home town cruises. I parked it next to a new red corvette at the local cruise. The guy with the vette moved it to another spot when he noticed my truck next to it. LOL i thought it was pretty funny.

The CLR thing is a gamble in your situation. I've seen some great transformations when the underlying paint is intact. When there is no paint to save, that process will ruin what mother nature has been working on for 50 years.

Sweet 63, can't wait to see what you do with it! Do you know the history of where it's spent the last 49 years?
