87 swb Bell Tech 5/6 drop

Well I finaly dropped my ride I used a Bell Tech 5/6 drop 3" spindel,2" spring and 6" flip kit.I have a few questions is it normal for the rear lower shock bolt to hit the ubolt and the nut rest on leaf spring plate.Do I need shock extenders. Also on the front lower control arm when making a full turn the 15"ralley rim hits the rolled lip on the front of the lower control arm do I just trim it.Here are a few pics befor and after. How can I lift the rear about 1 or 2"s to give it a little bit of rake.

Looks a ton better now!
The rake comes when the springs settle a bit and you have only 3 leafs + overload in the rear so that might give you a 6,5" drop!
The shockbolts are close but should not touch so maybe you should shorten the bolts a bit!
The a-arm rubbing issue is similar to mine and i trimmed the a-arms to clear.
My wheel sits extremely close to the lower a-arm so trimming was a little extensive!
The ride improved very much and cornering is fun with that setup!
Did you use belltech shocks also?
I have nitro drop shocks and am happy with them!
The only drawback is the low hanging crossmember and a-arms that hit the road and speedbumps!

Run a couple washers on the head side of the shock bolt to pull it out enough to clear the U-bolts. 3" spindles will cause interference between the LCA and most 15" wheels, depending on backspacing. Trim the lip to resolve the issue, drive daily afterwards.

Truck looks GREAT!

Ok so I put a couple washers on bolt to keep it from hitting the u bolt but now I can't get the nut on becaues the bolt sits right above the leaf spring plate and I cant get the nut on the bolt straight. Is this a common problem with a 6" bell tech flip.Look at the 5 picture and look at the nut.

Truck looks fantastic!

I had the same issue with the shock bolt. I used a couple washers, like you did. As for the nut, I trimmed down one part of the hex shape so it sits square. Tighten up the bolt and you are set.

Truck looks great, belltech sells a shorter shackle to lift the back up a bit.

I think you have some leaves removed from your rear spring pack. If you had 5 leaves your clearance issue would be a concern. Yes, you should install shock extenders. The more travel you have in a shock the better it rides.

Trim your control arm for clearence, and cut a half coil off your stock spring. That allows your rims to clear, and gives you the Hot Rod rake your after.

Do you still have the steering stops on the lower control arms?

No I didn't remove them.I had to trim the LCA because the rim hits.
