need o2 sensor advice
i am in the process of getting some of the pieces together to fire up the 5.3 i bought awhile back. one thing i noticed is that my harness has a male plug for the 02 sensor and the 02 sensor is also a male plug. I have called the guy that made the harness and left voicemail but was just wondering if there might be an equivelent 02 sensor with a female 4 wire plug. the current 02 sensor are delco 12589321.
any 02 experts out there that can give some guidance? THANKS in advance |

Re: need o2 sensor advice
Had the same problem on my 5.3l...when I look to the Painless Wiring instructions (mine is a Techrods harness but essentially a copy, and the Painless book helped a great deal) they call for an AC Delco AFS106, which crosses to a Bosch 13474. The application is a 1999 chevy 1500 5.7l, downstream sensor. I know...wrong body style, wrong engine, and wrong placement. But it fits and has been working in mine for over 600 miles now. Hope this helps.

Re: need o2 sensor advice
the bosch 13444 is a cheap 4 wire universal sensor, worked great for my swap, its a femal plug too.
