Re: drop spindles

Would be nice if they did for budget builds like mine. Converting to disk brakes is a great upgrade though.

Re: drop spindles

I got the same dilemma. The only thing I could find are DJM's 3" drop lower control arms. Which seem to have mixed reviews. Disc brakes turn into a really expensive upgrade when you end up having to get new rims.

Re: drop spindles

You could always use wheel adaptors to go from 5 lug back to 6 and salvage parts aren't really that expensive you can get every thing from the booster to the lug nuts for at or under $250 well around here anyway I have $200 in mine then about $150 in new rotors calipers and pads so it's not out of reach

Re: drop spindles

They make a 6 bolt rotors. The stock wheels won't clear the calipers. You need a 70s-80s 4 wd 6 bolt wheel, if you want to be 6 bolt all the way around. or just get a 2wd 5on5 wheel for the stock 73-87 5 bolt. Check craigslist for somebody parting out a old 73-87.

Re: drop spindles

Scott's Hot Rods in Cali has a great deal on 2.5" drop spindles, rotors, calipers, pads, hoses, hardware, booster, MC, prop valve, he is a vendor on here, check him out, you would be surprised how economical it is to do this swap, and the spindles go right on your stock ball joints. The cost is not a whole lot more than a brake job at a shop would cost. Scott's is a vendor on here, should not be hard for you to find.
