Is there anywere close I can order a rear bed panel for a 72 Blazer? Will the C10 rear bed panel fit the blazer?

If you are talking about a Blazer bedside, you will have to replace it with a pickup bed side and cut it down, do a search on this and lots of info will come up

Actually looking for the steel floor bed repair panel. Ive got rust in the very back just under the tailgate. Cut it out and grinded it down...now just looking for the replacement panel. LMC truck has got a piece that fits all the way across the back 72" wide and 16" long but I think its only for the C10 fleetside and not notched for the blazer. Mill supply out of cleveland has one that fits the blazer but they want $100 bucks to freight ship it. Was hoping there was a place closer i could snag one.

By the way Im new to the site but its awesome...gonna post pics of my ride tomorrow.

Here are a few pics, got a pretty good welder on hand and i plan to cut the top off that rear cross member and fix that before replacing the bed panel.

That's a pretty common spot for the Blazers to rust out. You could either use part of an old pickup bed floor piece or buy the reproduction patch and cut it to fit.

The only problem part is bending the end so that it matches the contour of the rear part of the bed. Then before you final weld everything, make sure you fit the tailgate up to it to make sure there is no issue with contact.

To make it easier to bend/shape, you can make some short cuts in the metal, then bend it and weld up the cuts.

That rear crossmember is available in repop parts, and it is a good one. Not alot of work to replace,IIRC, 2 or3 bolts per side and tack welded at the uprights. 73 and up works as well, just has a narrower top surface

Just take your bumper and dust shields off, and you should have access to it

This is how I repaired mine. The support infill is a piece of 18ga. flat metal I got at a metal shop and they sheared to size and the bed piece is an after market. all in all a cheap repair.

I did do both sides yet not perfect but when the carpet was in looked great.

That area is rusted because of tire spray, do yourself a favor, and fill in all the high spots of the bedfloor. The water gets in there with dirt, and just rusts away....good luck
